The 615 series is the start of Sherwood Marine’s range featuring self-draining decks and full 2.5m beam. Three models share the same basic 6.15m plate aluminium boat kit hull: the centre console 615CC at $18,570 excluding GST, the 615CD cuddy cab at $19,920 and the 615HT hardtop at $21,610. The 615HT is the smallest hardtop in the range, giving the step-up in weather protection, visibility through fixed glass, mounting for electronics and smart looks, and long-term durability over a cuddy + canopy setup.
The 615 series replaces the 600 series. It carries a new raised sheerline forward, which gives a distinctive look and just a little more freeboard. Everything else from the proven 600 Series carries on unchanged.
The hull is 6.15 m long, 6.40 m overall, on a 2.50 m beam. Bottom plate steps up to 6 mm, with 4 mm sides, 3 mm decks and 3 and 4 mm cabin. Deadrise at the centre of gravity is 20 degrees, fuel capacity is 260 litres, and the deck is self-draining rather than sumped. Rated capacity is six people. Maximum power is a single 225 hp with 175 to 200 hp recommended, or twin outboards of 90 to 115 hp each.
Against the 560 it is a step up in fuel capacity, beam, and has the self-drainage and hardtop availability. Against the 655 it is 400 mm shorter with 40 litres less fuel.
