The 560 series is a 5.6 metre plate aluminium boat kit built around a wider, deeper hull than the 500 and 530. Two models are offered: the 560CC centre console at $17,500 excluding GST and the 560CD cuddy cab at $19,000 excluding GST.
The hull is 5.60 m long, 5.90 m overall, on a 2.40 m beam. Plate is 5 mm on the bottom, 4 mm on the sides, 3 mm decks and cabin. Effective deadrise is 20 degrees. Fuel capacity is 200 litres, person capacity is six, and the fully sealed deck drains to a bilge sump. Maximum power is 175 hp with 130 to 150 hp recommended and a 225 kg engine weight limit.
The 560 is the largest of the sealed deck/bilge sump Sherwood monohulls. Above it the 615 series brings a 6 mm bottom, a self-draining deck, a 2.50 m beam, twin outboard capability and the option of a hardtop; some nice-to-have options but with a bump in towing weight to match. Budget friendly but still offshore capable and manageable to tow, the 560 rounds out our smaller range nicely.
